The MPC Live comes with a 7-inch multi-touch screen alongside 16 velocity-sensitive RGB pads, four touch-sensitive Q-link controls as well as a push-down master encoder button. The MPC Live comes in a slim black chassis that looks professional and is guaranteed to sound great.
Thanks to the MPC live’s light weight the unit is super portable, it can fit comfortably into a gig bag or flight case and includes a built-in rechargeable lithium battery making it a perfect tool for live performers. It also comes with 16GB of onboard memory as well as a built-in SD card slot so you can transfer your own samples into the unit, you can get even more external storage by using an SSD or HDD drive into the 2.5-inch SATA drive connector.
The MPC Live is powered by MPC 2 software which can be used in standalone mode or as an external VST in a DAW. The software allows you to record audio tracks with intelligent Q-link control as well as the ability to drag and drop MIDI and audio files all inside of an intuitive user interface.
The Akai MPC Live includes 16GB of pre-installed sounds made by world-class sound design companies. You are allowed to twist, chop and screw already sonically advanced sounds and push them to their absolute limit. Future updates let MPC software to integrate perfectly with Ableton Live.
