The Inpulse 300 comes with two deck sections alongside a central mixer section. The two decks come equipped with a large jog wheel which lets you quickly navigate your way through a track as well as perform scratches when the vinyl mode is turned on while a small tempo fader enables you to set the correct BMP needed for beatmatching. Transport controls give you the ability to sync, cue, and play/pause your tracks while an FX control at the top of the deck means you can smoothly dial in some effects. Underneath the jog wheel, you’ll find the beat align light guide which tells you which way to spin the platter, so you’re in beat while the tempo fader features a light guide that indicates which way to push the tempo, so you’re in time. Each channel is also equipped with eight performance pads that allow you to trigger hot cues, loop rolls, beat slices, and samples and features secondary functions that are accessed via the shift button and offers toneplay, pad FX, slicer loop, and beat jump.

The mixer section comes complete with two channels, each equipped with an up-fader as well as a 3-band EQ, a gain knob, a filter control, and cue buttons plus a crossfader which lets you smoothly move between tracks. All these features allow you to seamlessly mix between tracks using basic DJ techniques. An Intelligent Music Assistant suggest which track is best to play next while an ‘Energy’ bar shows you how much energy your chosen track has allowing you to feel the vibe of your music before you play it.
